All patients registered with the hospital are issued with registration cards. The card is used for identifying the patient and medical records across the hospital to ensure continuity of care. So, the patents are required to wear the band with the name and card at all time while in the hospital. If you are visiting SDAH for the first time, please provide complete and accurate information at the time of registration/admission to ensure that the hospital records/bills show the correct name and communications are send to the correct contact number. If you wish to make corrections to the registration/contact details please request the IP CREs/Ward secretaries with required document proof. We are required to maintain identity and address proof of our guests to produce before the authorities if required. Please produce Aadhar, Voter’s ID, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport) at the time of admission or within 24 hours to admission.
Once a patient is admitted, the room is allotted based on the patient's choice and nature of illness. Only two bystanders are permitted to stay with a patient. When the patient is in ICU, the bystander has the choice to retain the original room or vacate. If retained, the rent for the same will also be charged separately.
Every in-patient is tagged with a Customer Relations Executive to take care of their comfort from admission till discharge. The respective IP CRE shall contact you and present you with her contact details. Feel free to speak to her for all your administrative work including payments, assistance and any other special needs
All rooms, except in the Intensive Care Units, are equipped with an intercom system/Nurse Call System. Patient bathrooms are also equipped with an emergency call system. You would have received instructions regarding their use in the wards. Use grab bars or get assistance from others while visiting the washrooms.
Please stay in bed after you have been prepared for the night. Strange surroundings and sleeping medications may create a hazard if you get out of bed. For assistance during the night, use your Nurses Call System/intercom system.
We recognise that food and nutrition play a very important role in your recovery. To serve you better, we have provided a Dietary. This service gives you greater control over what and when you eat.
Your Doctor/Dietitian may prescribe a special diet for you while you are in the hospital.
The visiting hours for general, medical and surgical wards are from 4PM – 7 PM
Please note that specific units may have different visiting hours. If you need additional information, please check with the nurse in the ward.
